Hello there! I’m Maddie, a junior studying astrophysics at Boston University. A little about me: I have recently acquired my right to drink legally in the United States (just in time to go to Europe where I’ve been good for, like, 3 years), my blood is composed primarily of coffee and Flamin’ Hot Cheetos dust, my favorite movie is Her (2013), and my favorite book is Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen (we also share a birthday). I have a soft spot for One Direction and will buy mint chocolate Milanos whenever they’re on sale. At the expense of my free time, I love to perform Shakespeare, and I fill any remaining free time by listening to podcasts. I want to be Wonder Woman when I grow up and I think fractals are really, really awesome.
On January 15, 2017, I depart on a six-month adventure to the magnificent city of Geneva, Switzerland, for a study abroad program with fifteen fellow physics students. As an aspiring writer, this blog is my attempt at travel journalism and an easy way to keep my friends and family at home constantly updated. I can’t wait to share with you my adventures in Switzerland and the rest of Europe!
